First and foremost I thought I was going to get out of work yesterday because of the temperature. I have to admit this to those who really don't know me that well. Scotty is not a fan of the cold weather. I live in a South for a reason and that's the great Fire Ball in the Sky is usually kind to us. Yesterday it was not, and well I was a bit chilly while I was out painting. Not a fan, not a fan at all.
It however turned out to be an wonderful day. Aubrey picked me up around 5 and we rode to Rookie's Sports Bar and Grill for a bit of Karaoke fun. Tom, Mary Rachel and Zack already there and we laughed and joked had a good ole time. By the time Karaoke started Josh, AJ, Bubba Jay and Dan showed up and it was just pretty groovy.
We sang all sorts of things, Aubrey started me off with Oasis' 'Don't Look Back In Anger' and then after hearing a Rocky Horror Duet by Josh and Tom, I wanted to sing Dentist from Little Shop of Horror. Tom had a psychic moment and already had the Little Shop list pulled up before I got there it was kind of uncanny.
Then we attempted a little Kamakazi but that sort of fell through but there were some great songs that night. Josh sang the Jackson's Fives 'I Want You Back' and I requested 'Man in the Mirror' for him and of course he did tha with the ususal Michael Jackson style. That boy is funny as hell and got some talent so it was a good show.
Josh got Aubrey to sing 'The Sweetest Escape' which was funny. Aubrey then got Josh and I to sing 'Mr Roboto' which is always dramatic when we do it. A Total and complete blast. We finished up with a 80's movie theme medoly. Josh too 'Glory of Love' from Karate Kid II, Aubrey took 'Invicible' from the Legend of Billy Jean, and I sang 'Say You Say Me' from White Knights. It was a moment, a moment of AWESOME!
Also Bonus, AJ Bought me patron, he gets an Awesome point. I love Patron and AJ is just a groovy guy. Woo hoo tequila.
Also..
I've decided to take pictures everyday. I'm going to carry the camera with me and take pictures everyday. Any moment I want to capture, any spare moment I get I'm going to shoot something. I may even get out of bed in the middle of night and take shots who knows. I'm gonna post the whole project on my flicker account and post some of the pictures here as well.
I'm calling the project HWY. (highway when spoken) It's short for 24 Hours a day, 7 Days a week, 52 Weeks A Year. I started it last night and took tons of shots. I'm thinking I'll update every Sunday taking Shots M-Sunday and then starting a new once the pictures have been up loaded.
I'm all excited see if I A stick with this and B how long can I keep this up.
Wish my luck.
