This is definitely going to be a short one! I'm simultaneously unpacking, doing laundry, packing, and trying to figure out technical difficulties while updating my page. I just got back from a trip last night, and I'm leaving for the UK tomorrow... but I wanted to get this song up before I left! unfortunately, there is a problem with paypal on myspace now, so although I've been using that for years, it looks like I may have to find a new way of doing things... hopefully they'll sort it out, but we'll see. Anyway, back to the music.
For those of you who read my last blog, I mentioned that I really felt something when I performed Hallelujah at the concert in Birmingham. I've been fielding emails daily asking me to record it, and although I really wasn't planning on it... I ended up laying it down for ya'll. For reasons already stated, (a lot of folks cover it, and no one's better than Buckley) I didn't want to, but I did. And I like it. Do I want anyone to compare it side by side with his version? no, but I am proud of it. I enjoy singing it, and I hope you enjoy listening to it! The song is up on my page for now, not sure if I'll keep it up there or not, but it is available for purchase on my website at www.jasonmanns.com. I put it on an album with some similarly paced acoustic originals. It's a pretty mellow album. Very pensive.
I told you this one would be short! my lead in was longer than my blog!!
I'll have a longer one when I get back from the UK! (which yes, we are still trying to find a venue for a second show on the saturday night, so if anyone knows of anything, or wants to host a hundred or so folks at their house for a concert... ;) contact kellie at www.sliqueevents.com
God Bless,
Hope all is well.
