there's been some head scratching about us changing our name, and so far we haven't really made much effort to explain why, so.....

while we may be most well-known 'Relay' on our relatively small scale, there have been a bunch of other bands w/ the same name popping up over the last few years, in a variety of places such as myspace, itunes, emusic and the web, as well as in the real world, playing in venues that we ourselves have also played, causing a fair amount of confusion. we've already pursued one cease and desist and anticipate other such nuisances occurring around the time our next record comes out....so, between that, a line-up change and a our desire to take a somewhat different direction after a long hiatus, we decided to change our name to Arc in Round.

that about covers it. we haven't abandoned our old songs but are definitely trying to move forward.
