Hey there kids,

Just a quick email to let you know about things and remind you about...

The Rocketsmiths EP Launch and Tour

As you probably know by now, The Rocketsmiths are launching their brand new EP, "Meet Horace and Clyde" this coming Friday (one week from tonight) at The Zoo in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley. It is going to be a huge night and the only place for a little while where you can buy The Rocketsmiths' brand new EP as well as some sweet new merchandise (T-Shirts!) and maybe something a little special like a signed poster (but more about that later).

In Brisbane news, we've had to let The Blackwater Fever go as one of our special guests, they had some stuff they had to do and we've decided that we've grown apart as people. We're going to remain friends and still try to see each other all the time. But with every cloud there is a silver lining and we would like to announce the addition of The John Steel Singers to the Brisbane lineup. These boys are a band of well wicked young men who play sweet indie pop alt country tunes and are very happy to be playing with us for the first time. Check them out at www.myspace.com/thejohnsteelsingers

FREE SHOW

Our Newcastle show has been cancelled on us at very late notice (and not because of the weather) which we are not happy about so sorry to everyone that was planning to come along to that. We'll make it up to you sometime soon.

Check out our brand new MySpace and Website designs done by Rocketsmiths guitarist Ianboy.

We've also just launched a bit of a new competition (well, sorta)... If you have a MySpace, head to myspace.com/therocketsmiths, become our friend and download the poster for the upcoming show in your city from Pictures>Posters and Paraphernalia. If you have the poster either as your profile picture or posted on your profile, we'll give you a signed A2 tour poster when we get to your hometown. Its not that much but we don't have any money to get anything more spectacular. Plus we did pay for them!!! Once you've got it up let us know and we'll write you down to receive a poster. Then just speak to the merch person at each of the shows and they'll give you your poster. Sounds like a good deal to me!

Tune into Triple Z (102.1fm) tomorrow (Saturday, 23rd of June) from 4pm to hear Ianboy and Dom program an hour of music and talk about themselves/The Rocketsmiths. It'll be fun i think. Also, a couple of the boys are appearing on The Frog and Peach on Triple Z from 3pm next Friday, 29th of June. Day of the launch. Listen then too or else.

Lastly, we haven't told you but you can download the first single off the EP, Modern Life, from our myspace. (www.myspace.com/therocketsmiths) Do that too.

Anyway, we're going as this has been a way too long email.
Email us at
info@therocketsmiths.com if you wanna know anything or just wanna tell us how sweet we are.

Much love,

The Rocketsmiths
