MARTHA WAINWRIGHT
I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too

Featuring contributions from Pete Townshend, Steely Dan's Donald Fagen, and the Band's Garth Hudson (as well as her mother, brother, aunt, cousin and new husband) the new album from Martha Wainwright, I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too, is now out via independent label Drowned in Sound.

This hugely anticipated album follows the 2005 release of her critically celebrated eponymous debut album. Since then, Martha has been embraced by fans from all walks of life: she was invited to perform Bertold Brecht's Seven Deadly Sins with the Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House in 2007, visited Mali with Damon Albarn, joined Antony on stage at Patti Smith's Meltdown, sang Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' with Rufus at Glastonbury 2007 and joined him on stage at the Palladium for his Judy Garland night to has made numerous TV appearances with Snow Patrol and appeared on Annie Lennox's 'Sing' Aids-charity single.

Produced by a range of producers including Brad Albetta, Martin Terefe, and Tore Johansson, the album walks the line perfectly between subtle beauty and raw emotion. Here are just some of the things the people of the press have said about it so far...

"Truly is a triumph" - Sunday Times

"The folk foundations remain, but overlaid with nods to Eighties rock, Weimar torch songs, avant-garde choral arrangements and - on 'Comin' Tonight' and 'You Cheated Me' - big, bright radio pop songs." - Observer Music Monthly

"The album's highlight may be its most straightforward track: You Cheated Me, a homage to Rumours-era Fleetwood Mac that unrepentantly revels in its own luscious commerciality. If you're looking for evidence that Martha Wainwright has stepped from her family's shadow, you might note that it sounds like the one thing none of her relatives have had: a hit single." - The Guardian

"Gloriously gutsy folky-pop" - Marie Claire
