so, I went to see Nobukazu Takemura and Steve Reich speak at the Japan Society in New York last week. I was really excited. I love Nobukazu Takemura. I love listening to people speak. I thought I would love hearing Nobukazu Takemura speak with Steve Reich. . . wrong! really, it was too much of a Reich-fest, which was cool, but kinda boring. Takemura didn't speak very often, and when he did, his translator had trouble, you know, translating. bummer. I did learn that it's a dumb idea to try to drive into Manhattan and find a parking space before 7pm.
we're still working on that new record. (took a break in February for Matt and Pinson and Eddie to record and play some shows with Fight the Big Bull and Stephen Bernstein!) more shows, new songs, etc. are in the works.
