Hello, there!
Much quicker than I might've anticipated (less than a month?), Static Caravan posted yesterday on their site an update that all 300 of the "Inverted Island" seven-inch have flown the coop, so to speak. That said, my own investigations yield the finding that plenty still exist in the real world alongside the metaphorical internet roadside (check Boomkat, Juno, Jetset [in Japan], Rough Trade, etc.), so fret not.
The much-fabled "ultra-limited over-press edition of 30" with alternate sleeve artwork designed by Ben Javens [and a map insert designed by yours truly] appears to have completely flown the coop as well -- sadly, as this happened oh-so-quickly, even before I could really get the details out -- which, subsequently, brings me to my third and [hopefully] final paragraph. Hope you're still with me.
I'm gearing-up a sweepstakes to give away a copy each of the aforementioned editions of the 7", with limited inserts and all, and a copy of the new split between myself and David Tagg on INSTALL just released a couple days back. There will be plenty more to speak of within this sweepstakes, oh yes, but details, at this point, are scarce [in my brain]. Look for more news/ideas by the weekend.
'Til then, thanks for listening and all the support. Stay upbeat and enjoy the transition into autumn, if applicable!
Cheers
J
