As many know, I have been attending college, one of my most recent assignments was to write a 1700 word persuasive essay. I chose to write how smoking and tobacco dangers are being exaggerated. I honestly did not know if, in fact, I would be able to provide proof and evidence to support the claims I planned to make, and I was not going to be discouraged or deterred from finding the proof I needed to make my point. I believe maybe my instructor might have had his doubts even though he did not come right out, and say so.

I am not a professional essay writer by any means. I have learned many things about writing since beginning my classes. Hell, I thought I could write, and little did I know, I could not write at all. I am still learning as we move along. Citing and referencing are a pain in the butt because
each instructor wants something different. Point, I was making is, I aced my essay and what I learned while researching ticked me off like, nothing else ever has. Smokers are being, DUPED! Yes, there is proof. I wanted to share my essay here; however, I am unable, cannot find a way to do an attachment. Maybe, I should copy and paste it? Hmmmm, maybe, I will?

Today, I was reading an article on the MSN website titled
[12 Reasons to Really Quit Smoking] (..Lyon.., 2009). I laughed until I had tears because people just do not understand all this stuff is propaganda, and there is proof what is happening to smokers right now was all part of a government plan put into place in 1997. I admit smoking is not a good habit, but the scare tactics, and lies used to persuade smokers to quit are amazing. They just never give up!

Quoting, Bork (1997), "[To lessen the heat on politicians, the pact increases the powers of the Food and Drug Administration to regulate tobacco as an addictive drug, with the caveat that it may not prohibit cigarette smoking altogether before the year 2009.]” (para.19). in 2009, the government’s plan was put into action and played out exactly as Bork described it would.

Bio: Robert H. Bork (b. 1927) taught at ..Yale.. ..Law.. ..School.., resigned to serve as Solicitor General of the ....United States...., and then appointed to the U.S. Court of Appeals. He is now a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, ....Washington.. ..D.C.....

Below readers will find a link attached to read Bork’s comments so men, and women can draw their own conclusion, how smokers are now being used to finance the new 2009 healthcare system. Could explain why there is such a big pushed to get it done in ....Washington..... After all what will ....Washington.... do with all the tax money collected from smokers’ to pay for the program?
