Host and Yogiga Expressions Gallery (www.yogiga.com) are begining an international artist trade and gallery link, the project is called Eclips. Yogiga is located in the Hongdae area of Seoul, South Korea. Host is located in Knoxville, TN. USA. After a few shows to work out the kinks Eclips has plans to expand to Japan and China.

Eclips works like this: Host curates a show by a solo artist or group of artists from the States as does Yogiga with artists from Korea. Then we swap. The american show is put together in Korea and the Korean show in america. The opening of the exhibitions is aimed for the same day and an internet viewing area is set up at each show so viewers can partake in the corresponding gallery show. There is a 14hour time difference so content at one show may include the live exhibit and the other the set up, both will have samples of local music and other local art to look at. As Eclips spreads to different countries the rotation of the show increases.

Host is not only looking for artists that would like to participate  we are looking also for people would be intrested in the further creation of the project. We are looking for people that are intrested in curating, finding funding, setting up the shows, documenting the exhibits, uploading the shows, etc.

Right now the indivdual artists are responsible for the the shiping costs of their exhibit. All art mediums are encouraged to participate. We are hoping in the future to be able to send the artist along with their work. We need your help to make this happen. The first show is scheduled for March 15th, 2008.
