Samuel E. Vázquez is one of the most prolific contemporary thinkers of our time. His body of work includes graffiti art, graphic design, creative direction, avant-garde art, video art, writings and experimental music. He has been sought after by many top advertising agencies including Wieden + Kennedy and FCB but his thinking proved to be too progressive for even these advertising giants. Samuel has also garnered the attention of major music producers who hope to one day tap into his music creative process.

His artistic journey began circa 1979 while growing up in New York City. It was graffiti art that first captured his imagination. From 1983 to 1991 he developed his graffiti skills and joined a few prominent graffiti crews. His graffiti art was ultimately featured at the New York City Graffiti Hall of Fame. Today, he remains a member of a now legendary New York City graffiti crew. The crew's work is featured in the book; 'Broken Windows: Graffiti NYC.'

As a creative director and graphic designer his work has been seen by millions by way of exhibit designs for major museums, sporting events and exhibit organizing and curating. Samuel was also considered to work on the visual brand look of the new Indianapolis International Airport.

Exhibitions, organized and curated, by Samuel have included the work of Stefan Sagmeister, Non-Format, KarlssonWilker, Mike Mills, Trevor Jackson, Yokoland, Sara Haraigue, Mario Hugo, RD Granados, Stereotype Design, Standard Motion, Si Scott, Sonnenzimmer, Roger Bova, Shannon McGlothin, Jean Jullien, Hannah Waldron, Mike Little, Chris Rubino, Géraldine Georges, Rick Valicenti, Paul Sahre, Clint! Runge, Sean Donnelly, Al Wasco, Luis Peña, Michael Norman Olson, Jonathan McGlothin, Andrio Abero, Mike Essl, Ryan Kegley, Justin Wright, Firebelly Design Co., Lucky Bunny, and SpotCo.

His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, publications and news media including; Agence France-Presse, Visuelle, Collective Empire, FFFFOUND!, Type for you., Form Fifty Five, Thinking for a Living, Dirty Mouse, Bitique, TypoJungle, Grafikcache, TypeNeu, Quipsologies/Under Consideration, The Strange Attractor, Swiss Legacy, Boing Boing, Design Observer, FOX 59 News, Indianapolis Recorder, Indianapolis Star, Indy’s Music Channel, Intake, Nuvo, Omaha World Herald, Print, Step Inside Design, Stereotype Mini, Graphic 09, CMYK, WISH TV 8 (CBS), WFYI TV 20 (PBS), and NBC—Today Show.
