This article is actually over a year old but I had to post it. I always wanted to take a dna test to see who my ancestors where, and this has shown me that there are so many more who question and seek their roots. I was doing some online research on the African diaspora in North and South America (Latin America especially, is included in the Maafa), and the Indigenous Atrocity.
The writer of the article was having trouble accepting the fact that to become closer to his African (among many others) he would have to go through his slave owning European ancestors first.
