Man, it must be like a decade since I got my first Knuckledust, back than one of the few hardcore bands from Great Britain, which now has a really active and big hardcore scene. While of course some advantages of modern life found their way into their sound, the general approach is quite classic and not totally different to what Knuckledust did back in the days. Fast, old schooled hardcore comes hand in hand with tough guy mosh, creating a classic mixture which is in fact quite metal-free and thus reminds a lot of the rise of tough guy hardcore earlier this century. All this is presented with the usual ingredients like gangshouts, a pissed frontman, some midtempo rocking parts and a lot of mosh. Throughout the record, some shy gimmicks happen, such as the hip hop part in the 2nd track or some vocal escapades in „untold story", but instead using this to add more diversity, the bigger part of the tracks is almost too conservative. Thus, real highlights are missing, and the songs do not differ too much. Quite down-to-earth, not overwhelming or too special, but quite entertaining for a night on the dancefloor.
