Howdy there folks!
Some news from the Elective Camp; we're taking a break from being couped up in the studio (bright and cosy as it is) to play some dates around the country. Sure if you can't get out on the road and play some tunes around mid-August, you must really be in trouble!
In particular we're heading south for what we like to call The Great Southern Tour. To celebrate, we're releasing Oceanview as a single available to download from your mobile phone or from
http://www.downloadmusic.ie/nickcarswellandtheelectiveorchestra (coming soon to iTunes too). Thus making it
The Great Southern Oceanview Tour! How's that for a quiet week in August?!
We're starting in
Dolans Upstairs next
Tues 11th August, with the excellent (adopted) Limerick man Benoit playing support. From there, its a swinging loop around the south, stopping in
Clonakilty, Waterford, Youghal, Kilkenny (the closing night of the
Kilkenny Arts Festival with Halfset and 3epkano) and
Wexford. As well as all this we're playing the White Horse Sessions in
Lahinch, Co. Clare Tues 4th (tonight!), so we're well and truly hitting some fantastic Oceanviews along the way - check our dates for all the details.
There may be surfboards in tow (or on roofs), and we're looking forward to getting out there and playing some tunes to the many fine people we'll meet along the way. Who knows, there may even be some sunshine! Imagine!
Cheers,
