Last night's gathering, and broadcast was fantastique! I have to say that for the first time since we began broadcasting the show live from Space Gallery I had a really, wonderful time. From dinner at 8, through our amazing guest Allyson Seal, to the very end of my set, the party was present, awake, connected, and really something special. It's so funny, because all week long I've really been puzzling about continuing this event vs. ending it as a weekly gathering. I was more or less convinced that it's just something better produced as a private transmission from my studio in a way which I feel most comfortable being self reflexive and intimate. But this week's show smashed all that into little pieces.

Dinner was divine. Some strange pasta-like dish I've never seen before, perfect pizza, delicious salad, legumes with pecans, chocolate cocks, and brownies which blew my mind.

The forum was wonderful. Allyson Seal really brought all of her joy and enthusiasm to the dialog. We pinned her buttons to our chests, and laughed with delight as she defined "oblique" and talked about her personal strategies. When she was done talking we all got together and made breasts out of clay for her "800 Boobs" installation. What a pleasure. What fun.

Then I played a set designed to flow from the first track to the last. I imagine my style is to express something more intimate, to begin gently, and take my time -- as if we had all the time in the world -- and arrive, with patience, trust, collaboration, and movement, at the peak of the mosaic which I gently and personally weave together with the music, my own voice, effects, loops, and all the contributions from whichever room I happen to be in. Tonight I took Kirk's advice, and dispensed with the foreplay, and threw down from the beginning. My oblique Strategy was "Abandon Normal Instructions" which I could have taken to mean that what Kirk had to say was irrelevant to my process. Instead I took it to mean that my own instincts were what is "normal" for me, as I am intractable, and often ignore all typical or conventional instructions, thus, I followed Kirk's suggestion, and found myself truly present, and perhaps more vulnerable than I have been at this event to date.

I want to thank everyone who came out from the bottom of my heart for joining me in this beautiful event. Thank you.
