leaving off where the last blog ended.......

carl left the band following our last show in december on his own recognances. we had expected we'd fill this spot pretty fast and be back to playing out in no time. there really was no time to waste with the ep getting ready to fall. it turns out we didnt really get a lot of leads, which, surprised the shit out of us. i had gotten a hold of an old friend of mine whom i knew to be a damn good guitarist. we brought him down a couple times and it sounded pretty good, but the tones weren't quite there and i could tell that the interest wasn't much there either. we had things to do though and didn't really have time to be picky. i do believe this is the point that caused us all to become immediately disinterested with the band and one another. i talked with justice over the phone and he had let me know that ryan would be to the practice spot to pick up his drums as he had announced his departure from descention. justice had come to get his gear as well. which let me and tommy know that there would be no more of the band, music, fans and family that we had come to adore so much. i do believe that all of this happened around february. the following 3 months would involve strategic planning on all parts to get back out into the music scene. after messing around in the basement for a while it all knid of fell together. chris had come back to his comfortable spot as guitarist for descention, tommy has since moved to guitar, we were introduced to a new drummer in jay shepherd (gasket, shotgun enema) and have just most recently added a new bassist to the family in marlon griffin (encrypted flesh, primal dust). this is the most talented and confident group of musicians i think any of us have ever had the honor of jamming with. we can not wait to get back to the fans. it will not be long now.

oh yeah......the order for the ep was cancelled and we whole heartedly apologize for this happening. we are not sure what it is that we are going to do about recordings as of yet. i know that we have never really offered a solid recording to the public. this will be our major goal now. after the shows begin coming in i expect that we will begin to speak of recording. we have almost completed a new concept album, we have the ep done and of course we have always wanted to go back and overhaul the original album. this is all on our agenda. we look forward to a new beginning.
