Robert Downey has always been one of my favorite actors and I really anticipating Iron Man but his next choice of movie roles has me a bit upset.



Tropic Thunder

For one thing I don't think that we've gotten to the point where a white dude can put on black make-up and "act" like a black dude. It's Amos & Andy all over again.

Secondly...I'm pretty sure there are plenty of black actors in Hollywood who could have taken that role. If white dudes are playing blacks in the movies, then they won't have any use for us at all. I know that this is a comedy, but it can have some very bad effects unless there's a huge controversy and backlash.
