FRANK PHOBIA HAS LEFT THE BUILDING (Metal J too)
Body: Hello everyone....
I would like to stop the rumors about what is up with my shows. Long story, shot version....
I HAVE LEFT THE SILO.
NO MORE SHOWS THAT ARE ALL AGES / 21+ FRIDAY NIGHT SHOWS by me.
THE CLUB IS NOT CLOSING !!

No hard feelings at all. Maria was ALWAYS awesome to work with on shows. However, I must remind (or inform) all of you, I did NOT work for them. All my shows were MY financial responsibility. Each week, many , many long hours of booking, listening to bands, answering an ave. of 100+ emails a day, phone calls, advertising, staffing, etc. all came down to the support of the shows on Friday nights (and bigger shows on other nights).

Bottom line, I just can't do it in the situation that is THE SILO. I am so very thankful to Maria for allowing me to do these shows every week since 2004, when my club, Sound Waves, had to close. I'll look back on all the AWESOME bands and shows that have graced The Silo's Stage since 1989 ....From Nine Inch Nails, Faith No More, The Ramones, to Clutch, Fall Out Boy, GWAR, and my band's farewell show.

I will keep this page active and answer your emails until I know what is next for me as a promoter. For now, I still book REXS in West Chester ( soon moving to a larger, new location) and now will have some down time to explore other opportunities in my future as a promoter.
If you ever came out to support any of my shows, and my record label, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will be back doing shows eventually ...I WILL keep you all posted. Thanks for the support!!!

We will miss you Frank!!! We had a blast at Gwar and we hope you stop in for the shows we have coming up at the Silo. Hopefully you will still stop in for your Guiness and spend some QT.

As for the comment about the rap shows and Evan, the Silo will be welcoming all music types.....NOT JUST RAP.

Stop in something might be there that you like too................I'll keep a Guiness on ice for you!!

Frank, you are an absolute tour de force when it comes to supporting and promoting local bands and touring bands. Nobody else in the region is dedicating the kind of time and putting up the kind of financial risk that you are as an individual. NOBODY. It's a tough gig to begin with, as you know. When things go well, nobody thinks of all the things you took care of to make it a success. When things go wrong, it's all your fault. Believe me, i know. How you've done it for as long as you have is one of the mysteries of nature. so THANK YOU.
