Reaction to the statement of the breizh wankers festival organisation about Evil Conduct not playing in Boqueho.

We absolutely wanted to play this festival, our singer even turned down offers to work at the Berlin Tattoo Convention that took place during the same weekend. Normally we always put our jobs before the band, but in this case we already had an agreement with the Brittany festival so there was no way back!

We were contacted more than a year ago to play this festival. The organisation accepted our conditions (4 tickets for a direct flight and our normal fee). So we were officially booked!!!!!!! We talked about the flights numerous times, but 2 weeks ago the organisation still had not booked the tickets. Suddenly we were asked to travel via Stansted, the same way we travelled last year and almost missed our connecting flight home. We insisted on a direct flight (that was agreed) but the organisation refused to book the flights because it turned out to be very expensive. Finally we asked if they could offer a solution for a flight via Stansted with enough time to switch planes. The reaction of the festival organisation: Flights are very expensive, can you come by train or bus.

Anyone can understand that it is almost impossible to play a gig after making a 12-14 hour trip by bus or train. We were very disappointed and felt insulted by such a reaction. It was obvious the organisation no longer wanted to respect the agreement we had. That's why we decided to inform people through myspace we were not playing the festival, because in all the publicity, flyers and posters, our name was on it. We really regret we had to take a decision like that. We feel terrible that we had to disappoint all of you who wanted to see us up on stage. Still we hope you enjoyed the other bands.
