Hi Everybody! well, Its been a very busy year for everyone. what with busy school schedules, political stress at home and abroad, work to pay the rent and an ever expanding need to grow in new directions, it was inevitable that something was bound to change some day, and now that day has come and gone, and so, it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our good friend and drummer Barent Goodrich who has decided to leave the band to pursue a life of crime (prevention). Barent, who is a founding member of Sophmore Jakes and one of our oldest and dearest friends is on his way to happily skipping down the city streets swinging his baton and whistling happy songs in the sunlight. We have been terribly lucky to have played with him, and look forward to receiving a speeding ticket from him in the near future. the Sophmore Jakes however are still going strong Continuing to write, play and keep it real! and although barent will never be replaced in our hearts, we will be hiring a new drummer and back playing as soon as possible! we'll be back soon to announce our new drummer and band lineup! keep it real! and PEACE! love Ry
