Hello sweet'eart, this is my last wee newsletter for 2008, and I'd like to thank you for your support over the past 12 months with the launch of my album and for coming along to my live shows to share in the music. That's where I feel the love most!
Some folk have been buying up copies of Lips' Decision at my recent live shows and on my website to give away as precious little Chrissie gifts - I am told they make for a super special stocking filler! So I have a wee deal for you. If you fancy grabbing a copy of the album for £10, and you make the order before 19th December, I will pop in my two EPs for free, My Tomorrow and Barber. Snippets from all releases can be listened to at http://www.mirandabarber.com/listen.html
To buy a copy of "Lips' Decision" as a gift for Christmas, complete with artwork & lyrics using paypal or secure credit card transaction, click on the album cover below and let me know whether you would like it signed or not...or simply download from itunes!

Before you take the plunge, feel free to have a wee glance at snippets from some recent album reviews below, including Blues Matters and Rock n Reel magazines. They paint the picture pretty well.
"There's a certain type of nightclub that seems to exist only in film. Candlelit booths surround a dancefloor that no one dances on. Chandeliers suspended from the ceiling create light and shadow. There's a grand piano on a stage that's too small for it and the rest of the band struggle to find space. Sat behind the grand piano, in a black cocktail dress, is a slightly quirky, but original and angelically voiced singer who distracts the plot away from the cigarette girls. Miranda Barber is that girl, "Lips Decision" is her night club. Mellow jazz with 60s vibe the sound." Fatea Magazine http://www.fatea-records.co.uk/magazine/releasesaad.html

[Lips' Decision] "is an album oozing sexuality, in 1950's smoky jazz bar feel. There are some gorgeous bluesy piano moments and soul that would melt even the coldest of hearts..." Leigh Rafferty, Glasswerk.co.uk
"Soulful, sophisticated and fun, Lips' Decision mixes the smouldering, late night jazz singing of Billie Holliday with piano-led Joni Mitchell-style confessionals......With a little luck the smooth MOR of Lips' Decision may just end up being the soundtrack to your summer." Ian Sinclair, Tourdates
"...no gimmicks and no overstated production. Miranda can be serious, jazzy, cheeky, raunchy even; but always classy, as this album illustrates...a truly excellent debut album." Peter Coulston, Seatwaves
Have a wonderful snug Christmas wherever you may be, and see you in the new year, Love Miranda xx
