This event is a part of a series of concerts, featuring The Black Heart Rebellion or a side project of one of the band’s members, that will be organised between october 2008 and June 2009. The project attempts to document the cross-pollination between the underground punk scene on the one hand and the visual and performative arts on the other hand by tracing it back to the roots of the DIY movement. It is a reflection on the possibility of independent creation, expression and distribution of underground music today.

Next to the concerts there will be a exhebition about the limited artwork for the band The Black Heart Rebellion, or one of the side projects. this artwork is handmade and handnumbered, made out of used vinyl albums that are recycled for this project.

The songs on these albums are fully DIY-recorded and released on the band’s own independent record label ‘Smoke And Dust Records’ in the period between the 6th of november 2008 and the 11th of May 2009. Some of these releases will be for sale at the exhebition the 11th of may.

All the releases,the events and the whole process of making them, will be documented and collected in a book that will top off the project in June 2009.
