Current mood:Back still hurtin
I recently had to be transported by ambulance to Baylor in Downtown. The ride sucked, apparently ambulance are not equipped with air ride suspension, lol. That wasn't the worst part though, that came when I got my itemized bill from the "City of Dallas Emergency Ambulance Service". Here it is:

BASE RATE - 800.00
NON-RESIDENT - 100.00
MILEAGE - 4 MILES @ 15/MILE - 60.00
CERVICAL COLLAR - 20.18
D-STICK - 2.00
HD IMMOBILIZER - 11.22
IV CATHETER(ARM) - 4.80
IV SET - 15.78
N. SALINE 250 ML - 9.50
SALINE - 2.40

GRAND TOTAL 1,025.88

THAT'S NOT COUNTING THE BILL FROM BAYLOR: 7469.64

that is rediculous...if you lived where we live in Oklahoma to ride in the ambulance is free.  They charge a monthly fee on your water bill to cover the community cost.   LOL!  really it is not free!
