As many of you know (or don't) I have been sick for about two months. The details of when I noticed a problem and what symptoms I had, I've recounted too many times to count to doctors. I will not recount the story here as it is a long one and I am tired. For all those interested the doctors are unsure as to what is wrong; however, they have a couple ideas. 1. Lymphoma in my brain. 2. Brainstem Glioma. Basically brain cancer (tumor?). One might think "damn that sucks" and it does...I do not want pity...I am reminded however.....it could be much worse...think about it...I am in one of the best places for treatment (Atlanta, Emory), I have a large, loving, and supportive family, wonderful kids, a LOT of great friends, and great insurance....things could be much worse. You can use your own imagination of how it could be worse...honestly (despite the whole cancer thing....) I am a very blessed person. I'm young..I'm in good health... It isn't often that a person gets to see what people mean to you. So, my message to you all...I really love you all.....It isn't often one sees the REAL value in their family or their life....Both are potentialy treatable (lymphoma more so and they leaning this direction). So, I have hope that things will work out for the best. To keep you in the know....I am being discharged on September 24th, 2008 in the morning sometime...next week (early) they are doing a biopsyof a lession in my nearby Cerebellum. After that treatmnt!!! Rick
