To celebrate my brother Andy Wilson's birthday, there are two nights of gigs to be held in London. Simon Beesley, Jon Hunter and Frank Sweeney will be joining Phil Wilson's band at the first of these concerts, on 23 January, to play a bunch of June Brides songs. Should be great fun!
Aso appearing on the night, and headlining, are the magnificent S/T from Germany. Think Can, Neu and Faust and you won't be far wrong...
The concert is at The Others, 6-8 Manor Rd, Stoke Newington, London, N16 5SA.
Get there early, as Phil and the Junies will be on first.
There will also be an exclusive CD available on the night, featuring unreleased recordings by Phil Wilson, S/T, Ectogram, Sunseastar, Faust (yes...THAT Faust) and others.
It's not possible to get advance tickets, unfortunately, but I'm told that it's a big venue, so there should be no problems getting in!
