Manraygun will be performing in Edmonton at the Black Dog Freehouse on Wednesday night, November 19. The Black Dog is great fun -- if you like the group, I highly recommend showing up! For those who have been following our various endeavors, we'll be debuting several new songs we've been working on over the past couple months. We'd love to hear whatcha think of 'em. Manraygun is comprised of myself on vocals and guitar, Dennis & Steve Lenarduzzi on vocals, guitars (and a variety of instruments), Silas Grenis on drumbs & vocals (occasionally guitar too) and finally Tom Murray on electric and stand-up bass (and the moogerfooger!). We all write songs -- it's a truly collaborative project. Manraygun has 2 official releases. The most recent release was a full length cd entitled "Misfortune Telling" which was released in Canada in June 2008. The other one is an EP called "TwilightSpeak" which came out in November of 2007. Both releases have been getting quite a bit of airplay on the radio, which makes us very happy (we're not above that, I assure you!) We made the top 10 in Edmonton, Calgary, Peterborough, St. Catherines and Windsor; made the top 20 on the CKUA radio network, and made the top 30 on Toronto's CIUT. For that we are grateful -- we make the best music we can just because we're compelled to do so, but it is satisfying, in a way, to know that some other people like it too! If you want to pay for a download you can get the EP from itunes (and numerous other sites) -- so far "Misfortune Telling" is exclusively available from an Alberta based "KerfMusic", but it will become available elsewhere in the near future.
