Hi everyone...

So things have been chugging along with our new record (first full-length, titled "Son of the Oppressor"), and within days we will have the final master in our hands. We're very proud of it and feel like it's as good as we hoped it would be a year ago when we started this process... a year... I can't even believe that much time has passed myself. Anyway, we're very happy and SO SO excited to share it with you... but that's not gonna happen quite as soon as we originally planned. And that's good news. Let me explain.

Basically as we've been finishing up the process and playing the reference master for friends, it has gotten to the ears of some industry types and we are getting some enthusiastic responses and interest. We feel like we'd be selling ourselves and the album short by going ahead in a mad rush and not letting things play out over the next couple of months... maybe something great will happen, maybe it won't, but we'll never know if we don't give things a little time. SO, patient loyal friends and fans, you will have to wait just a little longer to hear the full new record... in the next week we will begin posting new songs on the myspace so stay tuned for that at least!

We're still playing some big shows coming up (NXNE, a big local "return of Yellow Wood" show June 25, and the CBC radio3 celebration at Phog July 11) and will be playing as much as possible in Windsor over the summer (to get our chops back!). We hope you'll join us for all of those and more as we build towards releasing this record.
