Dear Del Toro fans,

We figure 19 months is long enough between blog updates.

Basically we have released our debut album, 'Hydra,' and it's selling well. Selling well for an indie release, that is. We have a new bass player, his name is Tam Patton. He joined in around February '08 and we are writing some new tunes with him. They sound pretty Del Toro but they're getting a bit fiercer, this may be Tam exerting his prog-metal influences, or it could be that the longer the band stays together, the more pissed off we seem to get at how much shit passes for music these days.

Anyway we're all doing very well, none of us has any terminal illnesses or anything, and we never talk about breaking up. We do talk about recording an EP some time in the next 6 months. But in that time our original bass player Jason Leca might get back from China, and decide he wants to get back into the band. If that happens and Tam also wants to stick around, we'll probably have two bass players and Tam will also finally get to bring in his synthesizer. Either way it will be cool. And the next record will make the last one sound like CRAP.
