we have a new 7-song EP called "come and take it" being manufactured as i write this.  the official release date is august 21, and we'll be playing a show in manhattan, ks that night, and KC the next.  it will probably only be available at shows for the first month, but by late september bloodshot will have copies for sale, both digital and in cd form.
we don't always agree on these things, but this time we all like it.  besides the three originals, there are four covers: one traditional, one by devo, and two by austin bands that we love--the american people and hug.
we also have a couple of fabulously talented guests on the record: sheri lane (horsies, glass eye) plays accordion and sings like a bird on "beautiful world" and warren hood (formerly of south austin jug band and lyle lovett's band) plays BADASS fiddle on a couple of songs.
so we feel like we will have totally earned our gas money with this record.  if you're at the show and   you can't afford a t-shirt, at least try to buy our cd so we can make it back to austin...
