Our new website is finally up and running !! – Almost ;)

We just launched our new website recently and we have added few new features such as new application process for local artists, newsletter, links to music from this years artists, online ticket sales and of course valuable information about the festival. The online ticket sales process will be available very soon, as tickets will go on sale very shortly.  However those of you who would like to buy package deals from Icelandair can do so on www.icelandair.net, just choose your country and go to the package deal site.  Whoop there it is!!

We are extremely excited about this years roster, we have mixture of talents as usual, artists from all around the world and of course the best of the best of local talents.  We just added 8 new acts on top of the 40 already confirmed, 7 from Scandinavia and 1 from Iceland, more to be announced soon.

Local Applications

We are still open for LOCAL applications but the deadline is 26 August 2009.  Please note we are only accepting applications for LOCAL talent which are artists based and living in Iceland. Applications for international artists is now CLOSED.  We will announce more artists within the next couple of weeks.

The Iceland Airwaves festival takes place 14-18 October at various venues around Reykjavik, Iceland. The festival is promoted and produced by Mr. Destiny and sponsored by City Of Reykjavik and Icelandair
