Can't wait to see it!!

Irish Blessing

May the road always rise to meet you,
the wind always be at your back and may you be in heaven half an hour before
the devil knows you're dead! (an old irish blessing!)

Are you going to do a show about your roots??

Hank,

Saw your spoken word twice in germany and once here in Austin.
Wanted to say as a disabled combat Vet and an American of Irish and Scottish descent, the definiton of patriot or terrorist is simply a matter of what side you are on. To us the 9-11 hijackers were terrorists and deserve every bit of fire in that special hell designated for those who kill innocent civilians no matter what the reason, I as a proud American can never justify what they did. On the other hand, people like Michael Collins and Nelson Mandela while widely regarded as terrorists decades ago, have since been vindicated as national heroes. In the seventeen hundreds there were quite a few "terrorists" in this country who now have portraits on our currency.
You do good work and speak great truths that many people in this country really need to hear. I wish you all the best and hope you will be back in ATX soon. 21361!

What you described in the article brought to my mind South Africa. "The Peace and Reconciliation Committee" it was called. Men and women, Black and White having the opportunity to speak about there experiences of life under Apartheid. I heard an African American women talk about her visit to South Africa. She would walk up to White folks and ask how it was. They would say how terrible it was but that things were so much better. Then they would smile. She then asked Black South Africans about how it was. She was surprised to hear them say the same thing, ,ending with a smile on there faces. Peace and Reconciliation: that was the name because that was the goal. And what's more the whole world was free to watch a nation air it's dirty laundry as long as we kept politely quiet. They didn't just talked about there troubles. They owned it! And they saw and heard each others pain. Political solutions can only so far. Wounded hearts are another thing entirely. I think it's more then intense interviews. It's a public service. It's a view of a road not taken. Weather the example South Africa gave can or will inspire other nations no one can say.
Great job.
