Sunday, April 08, 2007

Current mood:  mischievous
April 7th was the celebration of my April 4th birthday.  Began with a beautiful sushi feast, and then the unexpected decision to do some Kareokee stole the night.  The set list included:

Don't Stop Believin' - Journey as interpreted by Billy Montgomery
No Ordinary Love - Sade as interpreted by Tyler Read (big highlight)
Tiny Dancer - Elton John as interpreted by Billy Montgomery
Piano Man - Billy Joel as interpreted by Michael Dillon (with some chorus from Ty and myself).

After a session of "Guitar Hero" at the Dillon household, the night sorrowfully came to "Goodbye".

Sushi Feast

Karaokee Bar with Songs of Inspiration

Apparantly my ear tastes like candy...eh Autumn?

Met this guy Dean at the place, he needed help on Johnnie B. Goode

I convinced him it would be better with hats...boy was I right.

"No Ordinary Love" - Tyler is no ordinary singer either

The Piano Man in chorus

Listening to Dean's Banter

Made this video in photobucket...it's a compilation of four clips of some Journey action.  It's pretty dark looking, but the ending of it is a solid guitar solo on my knees with a balloon guitar.  Worked pretty hard to get the crowd to fist-pump their way thru the song.  I believe they were inspired to join along. Thanks to Autumn for the clips.

(Apparently this video doesn't seem to want to work inside the blog format and it won't let me erase it.  I'm not making a whole new blog because that would be too much work, so you can view it on my profile.)

that guy dean looks a bit like Crispin Glover's uncle... kinda creepy, but I'm sure the banter was fun!.... Happy birthday bro!
