BROTHERS RYE WAIT UNTIL THE VERY LAST MINUTE ONCE AGAIN! The Brothers Rye have just finished their latest short film for entry in a contest for yet another American icon, this time Howard Stern.

Production of "Sad: The Legend of Jeff the Drunk" was completed over a hellish weekend of night shoots and culminated in a last minute dash by Curt Rye from Rye Headquarters in Bushwick, Brooklyn to Stern's office in the Lower West Side yesterday night. The stress of all that work possibly being fruitless by a missed deadline loomed dark in the hearts and minds of the Brothers. But luck prevailed and Curt handed over the entry huffing and puffing with three minutes to spare. The secretary was not impressed.

Winners for the contest should be announced in 10 days.
