Michael Ventre did a very good job in writing this article. Maybe he should be presenting the news on MSNBC instead of Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews. For once there is something on that site and/or that channel which does not connect directly into some of the more venomous vitriol coming from Mr Olbermann or Mr Matthews --- they along with much of the rest of the Establishment Media have resorted too much to irrational partisanism, to the point that Tom Brokaw, an NBC veteran himself, recently assessed that those two have brought down the calibre of NBC News. Mr Ventre did a fantastic job of bringing it up a bit and Mr Brokaw is no doubt very proud of him.

BTW I can relate to your assessment about how great a speaker you thought Barack Obama has been; I hope you don't mind that you are finding adoring and loving appreciation from someone whose ideology comes from the other side of the aisle. I found similar qualities in Condoleezza Rice in 2000, to a speech that Jim Talent gave at a local rally here in Joplin in 2001 shortly after launching his campaign for the US Senate in 2002, and yes, more recently in Sarah Palin from the recent RNC convention.

All politics aside I find that your material is still quite impressive, after all, an extensive career in music has clearly helped your talent shine through.
And it does not hurt that you are a part of the greatest rock group in history, either! ;-)
