What if the Matrix is real.
What if we had the ability to experience infinite dimensions but were tricked into believing there were only three or four.
What if early on in the evolution of a species survival of the fittest instilled an instinctual predisposition for leaders and followers.
What if as the species evolved the concept of power shifted and a leaders control over physical prowess was replaced with a control over knowledge and information.
What if as this paradigm became obsolete these leaders turned on their own people in order to preserve their way of life. Not because they wish ill will upon their people, not because they are evil or lost, but only because this is in their genes and this is all they have ever know.
What if these leaders had access to unlimited resources and the best and brightest minds in the world.
What if these leaders evolved into complex systems of government which diluted the concepts of perspective, accountability, and self-awareness because these are traits held by individuals, but not by machines.
What if these government machines evolved and grew to a point at which the subsystems themselves became full fledged in their own right and began to vie for power and self-sufficiency.
I just feel like we've lost control ... I think this has gone on for so long that we are no longer able to see it for what it is.
I don't consider myself a conspiracy theorist by any means, but I can't help but get a little spooked by the thought of what the American government is capable of. Unlimited resources and access to the best and brightest in the world. They have the potential to study, and develop concepts at a level so far and beyond anything we can even begin to fathom in the private domain. Anything we can do, they can do better ... social studies, psychology, psychic phenomena, it goes on and on. It's like that smartest computer in the world thing from A Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy.
That kind of power scares the shit out of me ... I look at the people I've known ... how they conduct themselves, their morals and values. I don't think it's necessary anymore, and I think we are on the cusp of a significant transition in our evolution, but as best I can tell we still live in a kill or be killed paradigm, and that's some scary kind of power to yield in a hostile environment.
PLEASE COMMENT ... I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!
