As it turns out, my musical departure from the pop format has taken on a life of its own. I know where this new music is headed, but getting there has shown me how much I have yet to learn. Writing sessions have been fruitful, but these new pieces are but mere stepping stones along the path I've chosen to pursue. I'm starting over from scratch.
Far from where I started and far from where I'm headed. There's no race to the finish. There are no ambitions for wild success, just a drive to recreate what's resonating inside. There will be new music at some future moment. Two Acme albums will someday arrive and then there will be no more Acme. These unreleased records have become a thorn in my side and they won't be out until they are fully realized works. I promise they won't disappoint.
With those releases in the can, the real fun can begin.
