Hey guys-
Check out the new METAL EDGE magazine May '08 edition as HALLOWS EVE is included in the top "25 Essential Thrash Albums" of the modern era.
Here's the article:
HALLOWS EVE - Death And Insanity (Metal Blade, 1986)
Atlanta is best known these days as a hotbed of hip-hop, but they made one vital, if under-recognized, contribution to thrash-metal: the swampy horror-storytellers of HALLOWS EVE. The quartet's one immortal contribution to the metal cannon is the nearly seven-minute "LETHAL TENDENCIES", a downtuned, gut-bubbling anthem of nihilism that prefigures Obituary and early Florida death metal in general. Atop an almost Sabbathian, pick-sliding riff vocalist Stacy Andersen barks like a demon shitting peach pits. Other tracks are more traditional moshpit fodder, plus the oddly titled "Attack Of The Iguana". But "LETHAL TENDENCIES" is their legacy and crowning glory.
