Hektagon_ Album in stores now!!

Yes indeed.

For some reason I can't get used to cd decks they feel a bit mechanic and soul less I much prefer to cue up in vinyl and to be able to feel the record when I am mixing.

I reckon that cd decks are not the future but maybe Traktor pro will be the answer.

sometimes but it's not that luxury that you have with cds and mp3s at home to repeat or do shuffle and you have to get out of bed to change the side.
but in clubs of course!

at home...yes. djing...no. It's more of a personal collection thing now. it's hard to carry around vinyl for djing. pure digital for gigs.

YES! Serato sure is convenient but going out looking for records, deciding what you'll take with you for a gig, going through records while djing, the labels, cover artwork...all that is still really important to me. And while I'm still young and running I can carry around one or two crates..:-)
Serato will at some point make the race as far as spinning is concerned I guess. CDs - sometimes but not preferably.

I use some vinyl, a lot of mp3 with traktor scratch (with control vinyl) and sometimes cd.

It's not important for me, it's always good music!

serato been meaning i can play wider range of stuff, and for longer, carry all my tunes to my radio show, gig etc. but there's still vinyl with me. still like to buy vinyl.

relaunching the label and vinyl will unfortunately be the exception. at least i'll not be bankrupt.

tbt

I buy vinyl but for my girlfriend to play.

Just a thought, my parents could start building up a massive collection of mp3's for my 3 siblings and I to inherit, this would avoid all potential arguing and the vinyl collection could be donated to Oxfam.

A bit time consuming but fair's fair.
