Sept. 18 Sorry my peeps for being so out of touch. Been working on a few different things that have kept me slightly in over my head.

First off, I've been writing songs and music for a movie called Catch and Release with Jennifer Garner for Sony Pictures. It's taken me a few years to land one of these and I'm stoked to be doing it. I'm told the movie will come out next spring.

Also been working on finishing the Bobot Adrenaline record. This has been a labor of love thats been going on since last summer and I'm just about done mixing it.

And lastly, but not at all leastly, I've been learning some Soul Asylum songs for a show in N.Y.C on Oct.26th at the Bowery Ballroom. Yep, I'll be filling in for Karl. I'm told he would have wanted it this way so this is for him as well as Danny, Dave and Mary Beth. At the moment, that's all I know for certain.

I'm told there may be news on the GNR front coming soon, but til it's formal and written in at least pencil my lips are sealed. Sorry........Stay tuned.

Tommy

I can't wait to hear the songs you wrote for Jennifer Garner's new film! I'm sure they'll be fantastic.

About the GN'R news, I think you are doing the right thing by not saying anything. If it's time for the public to know about something GN'R related, an official announcement will be made!

Best of luck to you, Tommy!

wow, sounds like you do have a plate full these days, that's great news.
but DAMN!,...getting to play a Soul Asylum show in NY?, that would be a fuckin gas! your really bringing back some memories just mentiong them.
I hope you get to do a bunch of tunes from 'Hang Time', and 'The Horse They Rode in on', 'easy street' is a perenial classic, but there are so many. It was always fun seeing Pirner bummin around at The Uptown when i played there, but not as cool as beers with your brother. he used to come up and steal lienies out of our stage cooler in the middle of songs! we were honored, believe me.
i miss those days...
thanks Tommy, and kick some ass on that shit for all us old fuckers

wWith regards to the upcoming GN'R album Chinese Democracy. Is it finished? have you actullay heard the finished mix? i don't get it, why all the delays? is it any good? has the album cover art been done? or will it remain as a simple black and white photo of a bike some place in China.

er, that's all. :)
