Good Afternoon,

My studio is completed!  We are up and up and running!  To be honest, I've been tracking like crazy for about a month now and I'm already back logged with projects.  I'm taking a break to get started on some of my own stuff in between touring with Frankie and wanted to take a few minutes to post a few pictures and some brief descriptions of my set up:

This is my work station.  In short – I use Sonar 5 as my sequencing software with the Focusright Octopre (digital outs) for my mic pres, and the MOTU 2408 MK iii as my audio interface.  I rarely use the VDrum TD-8 for anything, but I keep it for auxiliary sounds and creating a click.  I use Mackie HR-824 monitors.

I have many, many configurations of drums, but this is a common set up I've been using.  Pictured above are my Yamaha Maple Custom Drums.  At the moment, I have 5 sets of drums that I use in various combinations for various projects.  I use an AKG D112 on the kick, a Shure SM57 on the snare, Sennheiser E604's on the toms, Pacific Pro Audio Condenser LD1's as overheads, and a Shure SM81 on the hi hat (not shown).  My entire studio was set up and tested by one of LA's most reliable engineers.

Like any drummer, I have a few snare drums, these are some of my favorites.  The Noble and Cooley has never let me down.  If you are interested in having me record drums for your project, please send me an email at craigpilo@craigpilo.com.  I can compile some mp3's of recent recordings to send out to all serious inquiries.  My good friend Tom Kennedy hipped me to Pando when we were recording my CD Just Play and I've been using it regularly to send files since then.

Ciao.
