Have been recording for the last couple of weeks and writing new songs as well.

They are falling into four different categories, ones that will be on the Album, fall 7 times stand up 8, Beautiful Jigsaw, the new Forest's of Prey album and my own electronica project under the Barebattle.

Quite a lot of work involved in them but since I gave up the law for the summer I've got some more time.  Have also left edinburgh for a bit cause its just too distracting that place with too many wonderful people to see, dance with and have a jolly good time with.

Just spent the last couple of weeks in County Clare, a lovely place, especially Lahinch/Lehinch (there is some debate about the spelling - even the road signs aren't sure) and Milltown Malbray too.  We went through one town, called Gort, which is 25% brazilian, we knew something was up when the streets where lined with a very different type of local.   Apparently they are over to work in a meat factory.  Should be some interesting hybrid children made in a generation or so.

Other than that I've grown a beard, pictures to follow.  The down side of this is that the police seem to want to stop me all the time, on the ferry, when in people's flats (albeit there was a building about to be demolished/ blown up just around the corner and we had to evacuate), on the road - they thought my car should be either an audi or a mercedes according to the number plate.  Either the police woman fancied me or was bored, its an old volvo and has been all its life, I swear.

Just getting myself ready for a twelve hour dj set down in Ireland for a watersports competition, should be a hoot and hopefully it'll be good weather too.

Planted some sweetcorn today in the vegetable patch, it needed to go out from the green house, the roots were massive compared to the pots, give them a chance to stretch the old legs, so to speak.

Other than that I've been selected to be an advocate for the British Council climate challenge in Scotland so was in Glasgow last weekend to see what ideas we could come up with to change attitudes and reduce the carbon emission, put the planet in a good shape, not to hug any trees.

Lots of love

David
