SF360 Film+Club presents
RiP: A Remix Manifesto, a documentary featuring mash-up musician Girl Talk and directed by Web activist and filmmaker Brett Gaylor, who intes an impassioned dialogue about current copyright, fair use and intellectual property laws.
After the screening, Eclectic Method — arguably the highest profile VJ in the world — will present a live set of audio/video remixes that are sure to boggle the mind and move the booty: mashup DJs Adrian and Mysterious D from Bootie SF will open.

Rock Make Street Festival confirmed for Sunday, August 23rd 2009 on Treat Avenue between 17th Street and 18th Street in the Mission District! This years festival will be about twice the size and feature 12 Bay Area bands performing on two stages with over 60 local artists and craftspeople showing their wares in between.

Hey Noise Pop kids. No really, kids!
Introducing the Noise Pop Summer Rock Camp! August 17-21

We're partnering with our fine friends,
Bird School of Music, in our first endeavor of the Noise Pop/Bird Indie Rock camp...Noise Pop style! We'll be teaching an intense week of music focusing on performance, songwriting and recording. Songs featured will be from artists that have played the many stages in the 17 years of San Francisco's Noise Pop Festival. All students will be encouraged to collaborate and form a band for the ultimate end of the week performance and recording of the song. Noise Pop Artists past and present will be visiting to perform and engage with the camp daily. TBA.
Camps will be divided into two age groups
10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for grades 2-4
1:30PM to 5:00 for grades 5-8
About Bird:
Bird provides instrumental instruction and band supervision to children (ages 7+), young adults and adults. Musical offerings include instrumental and voice instruction, bands, private and semi-private lessons, rehearsal space, special clinics, workshops and professional audio recording, mixing and video services.
At Bird, music and technology come together in a positive and safe environment. Students are encouraged to use what's current to enhance their creative musical ideas. We emphasize technique and exposure to all genres of music, enabling musicians to build on familiar ideas to produce something unique. We like to think of our work as the intersection of music, community and technology.

Wanderlust Festival this weekend!
Wanderlust is a new music festival that takes the destination festival experience to new heights (literally). Happening July 24-26 in Squaw Valley USA in Lake Tahoe, California, Wanderlust combines an eclectic, top-notch line-up with the beautiful natural setting of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Previously announced artists include
