Ok so long story short today I was nominated for a JUNO in the R&B/Soul Recording of the Year! For those of you south of the border or in Europe, the JUNOS are Canada's answer to the Grammy's so it's a pretty big deal to get nominated. So how did I feel? Excited doesn't quite explain it. On our way to the press conference for the first time in my life I was so nervous I actually had sweaty palms...I know thats kinda gross but the point is I was really nervous. I'd never been invited to anything like this before and while I was really hoping for a nomination I wasn't 100% sure I was getting one. And then the moment came....and then it went lol. Double Up and I were like two little school kids...I was clapping like a 2 year old when my own name was announced. It was pretty cool. Then I got a chance to do some press, we ate some finger foods, met some fellow artists and left with a free bag of the new tandoori sizzler flavoured doritos in hand. It's been a long day and we're totally exhausted so for now goodnight!
