As I
sat on this cement step, all that I could think about was my T-shirt that read
"We are Family".... man what if I never had a family...I thought
about the two generations that I'd seen throughout my years of living...Those
sisters were tough;;>>>>they worked in the sugarcane fields to pull
and if it was on their property they picked, pulled and they sold.... needless
to say it could not grow fast enough for these sisters... The story goes like
this...My great grandmother lived here and the family build this house....
ooohhhh yeah they have added to it and taken from it, yet it never changes the
color blue. Down the road because there are no city street where our roads
meet...there was a small church on this road and it is still there, there was a
little sweetshop on this road when I was a young girl...goodness we could have
any kind of candy we wanted out of the store and one of each of course there
was only three types of candy...lol (A Long Boy, A Caramel Something kind of
candy and the Big Boo bubble gum). The Long boy was my favorite and less
complicated to open and eat. Nah my rappers I would save and make creative
pictures and at times play a counting game so I could see out of my cousins and
I who was counting to the highest number. Man....though we struggle to make it
we were happy with the little things and the love, guidance and nurturing of
strong sisters.... TO BE CONTINUED;;>>>>> ....
