Hey, where's my other 14 minutes and 58.5 seconds of fame?  They say everybody get's their 15 minutes of fame in this world, before they die.  Well last night, if you watched, "My Name is Earl," you saw my image flash by.  I was one of the screaming meemies in the audience of the game show, "Estrada or Nada."  That's right, yours truly, old hippie/street person and man about town, Wil Langford, right there on national TV.

I am easy to spot, if you're quick and have sharp eyes and don't blink (well that eliminates everybody I know).  Because I am wearing my red bandana and sitting in the front row, giving the old two thumbs up.  But, unfortunately for me,  the shot was only for a second and a half.  Alright, I didn't actually time it, but that's what it seemed like.

So fame or the world, or whoever is in charge of seeing we all get our 15 minutes, owes me another 14 minutes and about 58.5 seconds, give or take a parsec or two.  But I'm not giving up hope because the show is a two parter and I think the second half will be on next week.  Of course I will be inviting all my friends to join me for champagne and caviar right after the showing.

Wait a minute, better make that popcorn and beer, well no, that might not work, either.  Make it popcorn and non-alcoholic beverages, I can't afford anymore broken furniture or vet bills. 

Maybe I'll have to wait until they air "Farewell Atlantis 2012"  to get the rest of my time in the limelight.  I only made it into one scene on that one, too, but its a beauty and I am standing on a wall near a fountain staring down at a crowd.  You can't miss me, I am the old hippie/street person wearing, yup you guessed it, a red bandana.  Later in the scene I am in the crowd.

Now fans of the red bandana will be saddened to hear that the old bandana didn't make it into the second shot of me on "Earl," when I am sitting behind and to the side of  Earl and Randy (sorry, can't say any more than that).
It will also come as quite a shock that the red bandana did not make it into the scene I shot on "My Name is Khan."  Hey, are you noticing a trend in these titles? 

I, promise, however, that I will try to maintain my usual sartorial standards and wear the red bandana on the next background acting job that I get.

It would be nice, however, if you got so you could actually recognize my mug in the crowd so I didn't have to use the bandana.  I am submitting my headshots and bio to other agencies who may, I did say may, find me more roles and I can't promise that I will always be able to wear the bright headpiece so you can spot me.

Some day I hope to graduate to more challenging parts and maybe even get a lead role or two.  I'd like to play some of the great men from history.  Did George Washington wear a red bandana under that wig?
