LOTS TO REPORT ON. SORRY WE'RE A LITTLE BEHIND.
First up, we've got a KILLER show coming this Friday @ JOHNNY BRENDA'S (best room in Philly!). It's a great lineup of all locals that is pretty diverse and will be sure to please. Here's the info:
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 21
BROWN RECLUSE SINGS (bittersweet psych-pop tunes for lovers)
THE NEIGHBORHOOD CHOIR (catchy indie rock)
SUREFIRE BROADCAST (indie pop/shoegaze stuff with male/female vocals)
HERMIT THRUSHES (good and weird local band with lots of instruments)
8PM doors, $8, 21+

Second, we are proud to present the first ever BROWN RECLUSE SINGS MUSIC VIDEO. It's for "Lazy Bones" and was made by our friend Shawna Ferguson. It marries Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau with Jean Renoir, all whilst adding a touch of Hitchcock into the mix. Here's the
Youtube link, but you can check it out below.

Third, Tim recorded a cover of Marvin Gaye's "Purple Snowflakes." We didn't send this to anyone except for Jon Solomon, but I guess you don't really need to send it to anyone else, do you? Jon not only
wrote about the song for his Idolator feature called
Enter Snowman, but he also put it up in the latest episode of the CityPaper's local music podcast
Local Support. Thanks Jon for all of YOUR support, as always!
(Actually, I should amend this and point everyone to www.elephanthug.com, who elicited the holiday tune in the first place - they got it first: check out their Christmas compilations online! -Tim)
And everyone else, please be sure to tune in to Jon's 20th annual 24-hour holiday show from 6pm on Christmas Eve to 6pm on Christmas Day. It's on my favorite radio station
WPRB.
Here's a link to the mp3 of "Purple Snowflakes" for those who wanted to check it out.

More news coming soon... anyone have a practice space they want to split? We've been thinking about moving out of the basement.
Stay warm! Find a cat to curl up with.
Also, check out
this video I just made of Patrick and I cleaning up our basement.
