Current mood:  optimistic
it's been a while since i've written anything about myself lately, about my music, or about anything for that matter. let's see if i can do better at that shall we?

new things. i lived in nashville for a while. i really liked it but i don't think it was for me. i'm writing this blog from my new, old home in denver, CO. i grew up here, and i think i have found my settling place. i built a nest in a tree behind a friends house and i'm raising baby chicks because there mom abandoned them, my plan is to turn them from sparrows into real human children. nesting is fun, easy, and in-expensive. raising human sparrows is hard work.

I'm really starting to get my butt in gear as far as playing shows hear in town. So, keep checking for dates in the denver area, there should be more soon. If anybody wants me to play a pool party or cocktail party or business meeting or anything at all let me know. i'd love to do it.

i recorded an EP here last summer called "ONLY ENEMY". i am going to try and find a way to sell it online for you all, until then, you can send me a check for 8 dollars, to this address...

1922 Fisher Way
Northglenn, CO
80233
... and i will send you a copy!

and finally, if anybody ever listened to my band in college called BRUNS AND MORTER and liked us, i have good news for you. Mike Morter is moving here in October and we are going to restart the band. we're in the process of finding a new name, so if you've got anything good let me know. We're super excited to get that rolling, we've been secretly creating musical baby's over what's called the world wide web. Very possibly the best music to ever hit the ears of earth. these tunes have been dancing on our faces like happy little grass fairies and we can't wait to get them off of us and on to you!

I'm going to be better at keeping in touch with you all. please do the same. drop a line. drop a beat. stomp the yard.
cheers friends.

Dude Staind is waaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than you.

Mortrim Buns should be the name of you guys. But seriously, you suck compared to Staind.

Good to hear from you, even though it was totally and utterly 100% crap. Also, Staind > Tim Bruns.

I'd like to end my 2 cents with me saying, that I miss playing bass for you and covering "Karma Police" was the single greatest moment of my entire life, other than realizing that you're not as good as Staind.

Lastly, I really don't like Staind, but they are still better than you.
I truly hope this has been like a suckerpunch to the gonads for you.

Also, I'm sorry.

possible band names instead of "bruns and morter"

"morter and bruns" give mikey the spotlight because he is cuter and needs a girlfriend.

"puntin' midgets" it's not meant to be offensive, i just like the way it rolls off the tongue.

"free food/beer" people would pack the place out wondering when the free food/beer was served. instead they would be filled with pretty lyrics and sweet melodies.

i do recognize that typically numbers are not used as band names but these might set you apart for that very reason:

"280" the combined weight in lbs. of you and mike and your guitars. and amps.

"35" the combined weight in lbs. and of you and mike minus your guitars and amps

"0" in honor of the number of times you have called me since you moved to denver

"0" in honor of the number of times you called me before you moved to denver

let me know what you think.
