Obviously this is our first update so it'll be a big one. We're gonna try to update you on the new bands and such, where members of previous bands are now and things of that nature.
06/21/09 Trauma Deville featuring Davey Suicide (formerly of Havok in Hollywood) has finished tracking their debut album and will be releasing it this year with a nationwide tour to follow...
The Underwater played a special practice show at Gulliftys w/ the new lineup last Thursday evening. The band played about six new songs and then played part of their upcoming album for the audeience. Matt Holmes is now guitarist and lead vocals while the other members will be announced shortly on the bands website www.myspace.com/theunderwater.
A Public Betrayal debuted at the ABC last month opening for Hierosonic. The band features former Utopian Skyline vocalist Aaron Miller along w/ former Hierosonic Keyboardist Chad Adams (now playing drums). The band have a few shows on the site as well as one song up.
Sadly on the same night APB debuted another area band played thier final show. The Western Jesus is no more. The band disbanded after thier final performance at the ABC.
Two former members of Deja Vudoo have joined forces with Baltimore vocalist Mina and Dan Rider (Formerly of Drop of Grey) to form The Taken. The band debuted at the 717 awards show earlier this month. The band already have a slew of dates lined up.
Manian and Torr of Until We Rise and Condition K. fame have returned w/ a new lineup under the name Jet Black Heart. Former Underwater bassist Derek Euston is also part of the lineup, the band already has a debut E.P. available on CD Baby.
Former Lotus Blue frontman William Houck has joined forces with ex members of Colossal oz to form My Inner Animal. The group played a huge CD release show and also debuted at Gullifty's as part of the 717 Awards show.
Former Masquearde and Moto Guzzi lead vocalist Matt Ryan has been hard at work with his solo material and now is prepping the debut of his new band Digital Elvis. The band debuts in september at the Dragonfly nightclub.
The Doctors office (yes this site) recently announced plans for merchandise in the future as well as a partnership with 717 Tattoo. The company will be sponsering an as yet undetermined number of future shows for the Docs office.
Julian Fist are hard at work on the long overdue follow up to 2001's "Pushing audio platinum" disc. The band plan to release it this winter with a cd release show at Gullifty's underground
Yorks own Halestorm recently released thier debut disc on Atlantic records and found it debuting at #40 on billboard. The band are currently touring w/ The Veer Union, Burn Halo and Since October and have landed the opening slot on the upcoming "Stimulate this" tour featuring Staind, Chevelle and shinedown this fall. The show hits philadelphia in august.
Tripp McNeely took home "Best new Artists" award at this years 717 Awards and plan to capitalize on it with a batch of new dates.
Finally after many grueling hours Rhea Silvia has officially released their debut album entitled "When the spotlight shines apon you". The band released the disc on june 6th at the 717 awards and has been selling it quickly since. The band also took home three honors that night including Artists of the Year.
