Hello All,

We are putting out a call for remixes for a derivative works project called remixin. We have received some really great submissions for the first three rounds and are now starting Round 4. We are looking for people willing to remix one of the compositions from round 3. You can listen to the songs that are available for remixing here,

The key idea of this project is a never ending web of remixes. Someone remixes one track, another person remixes that remix, then another person remixes that remix and so on. What you end up with is ongoing chain of related works, a piece of music that evolves in various directions.

The remix can be in any style or tradition you wish. Diversity is encouraged. Current remixes range from electro-acoustic to electronica, from ambient to dub. It's all up to the remixers. All styles of remixes are welcomed and encouraged. Our remixers range from dance floor DJs to classical composers. It is this diversity that makes remixin unique.

Round 4 officially ends June 9th. If you are interested but cannot do round 4, please email us and we will notify you when round 5 starts. There are three concurrent remix trees. The original compositions for these were created by the composers Charles Dodge and John Arroyo.
