The Old Dead Tree is no more.....

I wish I never had to write those words, but nothing is forever. These last few

months, some disagreements started to grow within the band, regarding commitment and musical direction in the making of our fourth album. Those differences of opinions soon turned out to be a dead-end problem and led me to make the decision of ending the band’s activities.....

In twelve years of existence, The Old Dead Tree had its share of line-up changes.

Of course, each of them has been an improvement, but they were also painful losses. And I don’t want to face that kind of loss again. ....

.. Be that as it may, I am still extremely proud of the work we have achieved and I want to thank all the people without whom nothing would have been possible: past and present band members with whom I learnt so much and had amazing times, our..

wonderful crew, our label Season of Mist, our tour booker K Productions, and especially the fans who supported us and encouraged us to go forwards. I wish them all the best in their future endeavours.....

This is now farewell.

It's a great loss, but sometimes I guess things take its toll. It's more important to sometimes see reality how it is. Life goes on and maybe this was a wise time to call it a day? It's better to be remembered while on top, rather than being remembered as a band that hit rock bottom musically.

Can we expect to hear anything more from you guys in the future?

I cant accept this. I was so eagerly awaiting the new album and this happens! This is a very sad day. Why don't you just go forward by yourself. Other bands do it. Filter/NIN etc.... This sucks....You are now the second band that i love so much that has broken up. Course of empire being the first and now u guys!!

It makes me sad to hear this news, but my best wishes to  all of you!
The TODT songs will always be special for me,  together with the good memories. It must've been a hard process to come to such a decision, but don't forget you can be proud for what you achieved!
