Dear friends,
It is with great sadness that we announce today that Underworld is going to suspend its activities for an uncertain period.
This was a hard yet inevitable decision, but in the context of crisis we're going through, we believe it's best to stop than to lower the quality standards we've always tried to improve in each new issue.
It would be pointless to dissect all the reasons that originated such decision. Please know that instead of closing the door, we'd rather keep it semi-open. "Better days shall come."
Underworld has always been a work of passion, out of which we've made no profit except for the enjoyment of doing it over the years. Notwithstanding all the ups and downs, we look back with pride at everything we've achieved (since 1994) with our personal efforts, without giving in nor up.
We'd like to thank all of you whose support has enabled this dream to become possible, the ones who created UW's distinct identity, outlined in the beer-stained table papers at several restaurants in Lisbon, the bands, labels, advertisers, promoters, illustrators, and let's not forget all of those who have, disinterestedly, helped getting the mags to the most withdrawn places in this country.
A special word to our team of collaborators is owed but, for those, words seem to not be enough. Thank you all very much.
Cheers, see you around,
